Side story 2

[SIDE] Duke of Fritillaria, Lakash

To be honest, I didn't think that the daughter of Marquis Dianthus was a good person.

She is wasting her time with the Crown Prince Ernesto.

However, there were a lot of words and deeds that I didn't even notice.

Marquis Dianthus' daughter overestimates her value because she is a member of a higher aristocrat, despite being taught that women are always respected. Somewhere in my heart I looked down on this daughter.

And she must have felt that.

In particular, a few days ago I made a direct and harsh remark to the daughter of Marquis Dianthus, so I'm sure she understood my negative feelings towards her.

Nevertheless, she came all the way to me and advised me about Celia.

"Be careful of the monster attack on Celia during the Birthday of the Duke of Fritillaria."

Stupidly, I was advised that and  I didn't believe the words of Marquis Dianthus' daughter at all.

Because the fact that Celia would die at the age of 14 was confidential information only in our house.

It was information that even the Crown Prince Ernesto did not know.

Therefore, I believed that there was no possibility that a third party would know that.

As a result, I thought that the words of Marquis Dianthus' daughter were not true, but a poor quality mischief.

I thought she wanted to get my attention because she had invited me to the theater the day before--I thought she was about to be given the role of a horseman for Ernesto.

But when I recalled later, it seemed that she had foreseen what would happen to Celia in advance.

Because I guessed when and who Celia would be when attacked, which we didn't even know.

Understanding that, it was speculated that the invitation to the theater itself would have been an act of trying to keep me away from the castle of my Fritillaria territory ... that is, from the demons.

Despite this, I didn't notice when I was actually invited, and I felt unpleasant feelings about her actions, so my immaturity is beyond description.

I was stupid, and when I was advised by the daughter of Marquis Dianthus, I believed that the invitation itself was an intrigue.

On the one hand, she knew that seemingly coincidental events were intricately intertwined, so I increased Celia's escort, even though her advice was unfounded.

After all, when Celia confronted the demon, Celia had shaken off the escort, so there was no point in reinforcing it.

――― But I thought at that time.

"Oh, the ending may not change."

The escort that had been increased so much may not be on the side when confronting the monsters.

After all, I thought that fate could not be overturned, so I glanced somewhere in my head.

Even though it was a scene where my sister's life was at stake, I calmly analyzed it from my experience so far --- an analysis that should lead to a negative conclusion.

Even though we know that the spirit is an important factor in the battle, we calmly draw even the conclusions that lead to a loss of momentum.
